Call for volunteers: 'Stand Up!'

The Australian Migrant and Refugee Women's Alliance (AMaRWA) is looking for volunteers to help at its national conference. This is an opportunity for individuals who have an interest in the gender sector through study or for personal reasons.

The conference is being held 28-30 April 2013 at Rydges Lakeside, London Circuit, Canberra ACT. If you are able and willing to volunteer please contact Rebecca on 6257 1002.

'Stand Up!' is hosted by Australian Migrant and Refugee Women's Alliance (AMaRWA) for the elimination of all forms of violence against culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) women. It brings together experts from various fields to discuss, debate and make concrete recommendations on a range of issues relevant to CaLD women. The panel themes include: Men, criminal justice and community responses; Sexual assault, and sexual servitude; Early and forced marriage, female genital mutilation and other harmful practices; Diversity of CaLD population groups.
