Applications now open for the pathways to politics program for women

Less than one-third of Australian parliamentarians are women. It’s time for that to change.

Applications are now open for the Pathways to Politics Program for Women.  The program provides 25 alumni and graduate students from the University of Melbourne with the skills, networks and confidence they need to seek elected office at a local, state or federal level.  Participants will hear from sitting and retired MPs from across the political spectrum along with experts in the field of campaigning, media, speechwriting, ethics, polling and policy.  Confirmed speakers include the Honourable Quentin Bryce, Senator Penny Wong, Peta Credlin and Cathy McGowan MP.

This Program was initiated by the Women’s Leadership Institute Australia (WLIA) and is made possible by a generous donation from the Trawalla Foundation to the University of Melbourne.

Further information is available online or contact Program Manager Stephanie Amir: Applications close April 4th, 2017.
