ACT women’s grants program: now open for application

Applications are now being accepted for the ACT Women’s Grants Program 2016-2017 which provides funding for initiatives aimed at improving the safety, status, health and well-being of women and girls in the ACT.

Priority will be given to initiatives which address violence against women and/or the broad range of factors which impact on women’s health and wellbeing.

There are two grant categories:

  1. ACT Women’s Safety Grants of up to $15 000 for community organisations to enable innovative projects in the area of the prevention of violence against women.
  2. Women’s Participation Grants for projects which promote the health and wellbeing of women and girls, including through enhancing gender equality. In this category, community organisations can apply for a grant of up to $10 000 and individuals can apply for a grant up to $2 000.

The ACT Women’s Grants Program provides an opportunity to make a real difference for women and girls in our community. Even small ideas can lead to significant and lasting change.
