ACT Partners in prevention awards

On 2 September 2013, the Minister for Women called for nominations for the inaugural ACT Partners in Prevention Awards. The Awards will recognise contribution to best practice in strategies and activities that create awareness of gendered violence and/or work to prevent violence and sexual assault against women and children in the ACT.

Not yet 50/50: Barriers to the progress of senior women in the APS

The scientific case for gender equality in the workplace has been won. The evidence is clear: there are no significant differences in cognition that give males an advantage. The economic case is also clear: more women and more diversity in leadership is good for organisational outcomes.

2014 Clare Burton Memorial Scholarship - Applications open

The $10,000 Scholarship is open to postgraduate students researching (or intending to research) issues of gender equity at one of the ATN universities (QUT, UTS, RMIT, UniSA, Curtin).

Closing date 25 October: The GrOW research program aims to strengthen the evidence base to inform social and economic policies that enhance women’s economic empowerment, close gender gaps, and simultaneously promote economic growth.
