This workshop explores gendered innovation in political science. The aim is to identify specific areas in which gendered research has enriched the discipline and sharpened its focus. The event is funded by the Australian Political Studies Association, The ANU School of Politics and International Relations and the ANU Gender Institute. It builds on the very successful 2011 APSA workshop ‘Women’s advancement in political science.

The aim is to identify specific areas in which gendered research has enriched the discipline and the workshop will promote dialogue between those working in increasingly specialised sub-fields. It will benefit political scientists with or without a grounding in gender research as well as policy practitioners.

Convenors: Marian Sawer, Kerryn Baker, Kirsty McLaren

Participants: Leading feminist political scientists will contribute to the workshop discussion, including international visitors J. Ann Tickner, Manon Tremblay, Laurel Weldon, and Jennifer Curtin.
