Capital Giving are hosting an event designed to foster a spirit of inclusivity and understanding as we hear the unique stories and perspectives of four outstanding leading Canberra women of multicultural backgrounds, who each in their own right, are making remarkable contributions to our local community.
In the lead up to the 16 Days of Activism to End Violence Against Women campaign, our Canberra group is hosting a special panel discussion event that will bring together local Canberra activists from a range of fields to share their stories and experiences of activism
With 2017 the unofficial Year of the Nasty Woman, join us to discuss how expectations for women are changing, how we are challenging and rejecting gender roles, and learning to give up being so damn nice. Hear from three amazing creative women from different fields, about how they and their work have been politicised and criticised – but also applauded.
A meeting of all ANU-based Gender Institute members and guests will be held at the ANU for a panel forum and discussion of the Australian Human Rights Commission’s report Change the course: National report on sexual assault and sexual harassment at Australian universities (see below).
